But equally I can understand why many PC gamers are cool on the idea. But over the following three years, Bungie has been able to right its listing spaceship thanks to multiple patches and DLC drops, most notably The Taken King expansion, which fixed key systems, shored up the world building, and generally made the grind more enjoyable. Now, with the sequel potentially under six months away, I want to talk about what it needs to ensure success on PC. Persistent accounts across platforms This may seem a strange one to start with, but bear with me. The original Destiny suffered from platform exclusivity deals between Sony and Activision that meant PlayStation players got certain PvP maps, Exotic weapons, and even Strike missions a year ahead of their Xbox counterparts. The leaked poster mentions the beta will take place on PS4, implying similar deals can be expected for Destiny 2. Destiny 2 looks to launch on Sept 8th with a possible beta before!

You can view your faction progress in the Quests tab. You can increase the amount of Vanguard Reputation earned by wearing certain Class Armours. These are very common and are available from most vendors. The number of Crucible Marks you have is sometimes referred to as your Crucible Score. To earn this trophy, you must obtain Crucible marks in a single Destiny Week. Marks are awarded based on your performance in the Crucible:
The Vault of Glass is arguably the biggest highlight of Destiny’s first year. The designers of the game’s first Raid were given license to create challenges that would depend on close.

That’s almost two months behind the console version, which launched on September 6. They even considered delaying the console version, but eventually settled on a staggered release schedule.
Here’s Matt’s take on the console beta , while Rich’s experience made him go off on a nerdy rant about balancing. Fortunately, it seems some of his concerns have been addressed.

There just aren’t any good arguments for removing matchmaking, they invariably boil down to some crude level of “fuck you, got mine” I look forward to someone posting about progression content here at some point , or fears about the content being nerfed why nerf it when they can set up a spectrum of difficulty levels from filthy matchmaking casual to anointed mlg son? And here’s where you reveal the fact that you’re making a lot of assumptions about everyone who is against random matchmaking.
There is no “fuck you, got mine” involved in this particular discussion. This isn’t a legitimate gating off of content.
Destiny players have revealed the improvements they want to see implemented in Bungie’s successful multiplayer shooter. Community manager David Dauge took to to ask the community what.
Then we might talk about The Taken King. My good friend told me about Destiny and I got an invite to the Beta and was pleasantly surprised. I hated CoD and this was refreshing because, well, outer space. I purchased the digital download version and off I was, playing Destiny. Once I garnered the support of a few friends, we were off to The Vault of Glass. What a nightmare that 7 hours was. After a few months, our team of regulars could pull off normal mode in about 45 mins.
He was a pain, and was full of more bugs than VoG in its entirety. After all the patches, since Crota kneels after your LAN cable comes unplugged , our group could finish that raid in about 25 mins. There we were, king of Normal raids. So we moved on, trying for those elusive exotics in Hard mode raids.
Destiny’s raids will not support online matchmaking with random players.
Set Bonus 6 pieces: Four new Exotic weapons have been added to the game. The half which deals increased damage flips after 15 seconds or when the magazine is empty. Cover Shooter Every bullet fired at an enemy from cover increases weapon damage by 0. The bonus lasts for 10 seconds.

The faction, mark, and mats grinding is horrendous and boring as hell; definitely reminds me of MMO-type grinding and why I stopped playing MMO’s in the first place in addition to trying to keep up with your friends who do have the time to play. YET, I find myself attempting to log in every day to do a pub event, bounties, patrols, or strikes.

Raids differ from Strikes in a few ways: In Destiny 2 the new Guided Games feature allows solo-players to seek out Clan members to play with in end-game activities such as raids. Raid enemies will have abilities not found elsewhere in the game i. Strikes last roughly half an hour, whereas raids can take up to several hours.
Raids have no objective markers. A player must find out where to go and what to do by themselves.
I have long thought that Destiny should have matchmaking for raids. I remember when I first started playing Destiny and eventually getting to a high enough level to attempt Vault of Glass, it was extremely difficult and time-consuming to try to find a group to attempt the raid with.
Comments Shares Bungie has confirmed that it’s considering the addition of matchmaking to Destiny’s super-challenging Raids. However, for those who have actually tackled the game’s first Raid–which is only available for players of level 26 and above–it may come as a surprise that Bungie is considering the idea of letting strangers team up altogether. After all, the Vault of Glass is bastard-hard, and requires total coordination among no fewer than six players.
However, I think it’s a glorious testament to the way Destiny’s players have embraced the spirit of teamwork engendered by the game itself. So, for me, it comes as little surprise. Despite the fact that I work in the ‘games industry’, and could easily populate a six-person Raid based on the people I can physically see from my office desk, I find myself increasingly seeking the comfort of strangers in Destiny. Hey, I love playing Strikes with friends as much as the next person, but there’s a wonderful feeling that comes with overcoming overwhelming odds with two complete unknowns.
The way the game has been designed and balanced allows three or potentially six totally disparate players to coordinate perfectly; to communicate through the language of shooting hundreds of aliens in the teeth. See, when I play Strikes with strangers and admittedly they’re all from the Vanguard Strike Playlist , everyone understands their role within each combat scenario, because they’ve been exposed to hours of Destiny previously.
Here’s An Easy Way To Find Players For Destiny’s Vault of Glass Raid
Not bad for a game that was often maligned for not having enough content. That obsession disappeared with The Dark Below. The expansion compounded the original game’s problems by making the base game’s hard-won gear obsolete. This knowledge was enough for me to excuse myself from those months of daily play and wait for the promised second half of the game’s first season of extra content.

It’s Week 29, it’s hard to come up with witty comments about his items when they’re repetitive. But I did buy something, as one of his items has an amazing roll. Xur is located in central tower, next to the Crucible Quartermaster.
